The Best Time to Visit The Grand Canyon and Zion National Park

The Grand Canyon and Zion National Park are two of the most famous parks in America. Both are spectacularly beautiful, but when is the best time to visit them? You might think that visiting these places during their busiest season would be ideal, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. We visited in September of 2021 this provided a visit to both Grand Canyon and Zion with a mini-vacation without any crowds!

The Grand Canyon and Zion National Park are two of the most popular national parks in America.

Many people decide to visit these landmarks, but there is a good time and a bad time to go on vacation.

We went on vacation during September 2021 so here’s what I think about each one:

Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon This landmark has many things you can do such as fly over it via helicopter or hike down into it.

If you wish to see all those beautiful views, then visiting Grand Canyon from May until October would be best because that is when the weather conditions will allow for this type of exploration. However, if you want cooler temperatures with fewer crowds (which might not always change your view), then consider heading out towards Grand Canyon from November until February. Grand Canyon is a must-see and it will be beautiful no matter the season you visit in!

Zion National Park

Zion National Park isn’t as large or known but has just as many amazing views to take in during your vacation.

Zion National Park also offers various activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, etc that can make for an exciting mini-vacation. The best time of year to go on this type of adventure would be April through October because temperatures are moderate with less rain or snowfall (if any). If you wish to travel when there are more crowds around then head out towards Zion from January through March which should still offer a great view despite people being present.

In Conclusion

These two parks have a lot to offer and I would love to go back for another vacation there in yes, September or October!

If you are planning on going, these two parks being so close together, really make it easy to take a trip! Grand Canyon National Park offers both Mule rides as well as Jeep tours that can help enhance your experience at the Grand Canyon which might be something worth looking into if you want an even more unique experience while visiting this park. Both parks provide scenic views from overlooks as well as hiking trails throughout their grounds that will allow you, visitors, to immerse themselves within the landscape around them! While visiting either one of these national parks, I would highly recommend going during the fall season if you can! The Grand Canyon offers a lot of events and activities specifically around September-October which is when Zion National Park has their Fall Festival that will add even more to your trip!

In the end, visiting both Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks in September or October might be best since it’s after peak season for tourists but before winter begins.

These two parks have a lot to offer no matter what time of year you visit them!
