The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469-mile-long scenic drive that runs through the Appalachian Mountains. It’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in North Carolina, and it’s especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves change color. The parkway is home to many different species of plants and animals, as well as numerous picnic areas and overlooks. One of my favorite places on the Blue Ridge Parkway is the Linn Cove Viaduct, a 1,500-foot-long bridge that provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
